歴史
枚岡神社は、河内国一ノ宮の古社で、創祀は神武天皇即位前3年と伝えられています1。また、初代天皇である神武天皇が即位された年を日本の元年 (紀元前660年)とされていますが、枚岡神社は元年より3年前、紀元前663年に創祀されました2。後に、奈良の春日大社に枚岡神社の二分霊を祀ったことから「元春日」とも呼ばれています1。本殿は豊臣秀頼が片桐且元に造営させたと伝えられていますが、現在の本殿は1826年に再建されたものです1。
ご利益
枚岡神社の神の使いは「鹿」とされています3。鳥居のそばには「なで鹿」が祀られており、右側には父鹿、左側には母鹿が小鹿を抱えて座っています3。御祭神である武甕槌命が神鹿に乗って旅立たれたことに由来し、健康や家族の平安、子供の幸せ、旅行の安全などを念じながらなでるとご利益があると言われています3。
